It's pain me to say this, but we've arrived at a point where a wall/fence has to be erected on our Southern border.
I see the United States as a sinking ship half-full of water. What do we do? Do we bail the water out while more pours in? No. We plug the hole and then begin bailing.
As you read this, think about the numbers of illegals that right now are invading, yes invading, our country while politicians in Washington are debating "guest visas" and amnesty programs.
In 1986 Congress passed the Simpson-Mazzoli Act a law that was established to penalize employers from hiring illegals thus making the US less attractive to illegals. This law was NEVER enforced.
Congress is debating more laws. More laws that will never be enforced..........................just like the previous laws.
The solution is actually very simple..................................if we have the balls.
We can't deport 12 million people. It's physically impossible and the economic impact would be seismic.
SO HERE IS MY $.02 WORTH.
1. CLOSE THE BORDER. It will take several years, but it has to be CLOSED!
2. Limit wire tranfers to Mexico.
3. Fine employers of illegals $100 for each illegal.
This sounds petty, but the fines will be paid, and businesses will not go out of business. Funds
will be applied 100% to the construction of the wall/fence.
4. US banks will not be allowed to open accounts to anyone that can't
PROVE they are legally in the US.
5. Any illegal that is caught committing a petty crime will be immediately deported.
I don't care if it's jay-walking or urinating in public. You're gone!
6. No state will be allowed to issue drivers licenses to anyone that is not legally in the US.
7. All illegals in the US will have 18 months to become US citizens.
Obviously, I'm protecting US businesses while giving illegals a choice.
If you have a better idea..................................sound off.

World Geography??
Seems that 10th grade, World Geography teacher, Jay Bennish, has a new "spin" on World Geography.
What this guy is spouting off is nothing but personal opinion to a bunch of impressionable 10th graders. If this guy taught math, would he teach that 2+2=7??
I love his comments about our beloved North Carolina.
Click on the camera icon next to the student's picture to hear this guys rant.

I would say that this guy is the POSTER BOY for everything that's wrong with US public education.
Next time Johnnie can't find Greece on a world map, or can't tell you the capital of Spain, there's a good chance that he had a Bennish clone "teaching" him Geography.
And please don't tell me that this is free-speech or that he's "challenging" his students. IT'S NEITHER!
