Today, I left the Republican Party.

For 34 years I have been a member of the Republican Party.
For 34 years I have supported the Republican Party with money and votes.
That comes to an end today when I switch to INDEPENDENT.
If the Republican Party wants to tackle Federal spending, illegal immigration, energy independence, and tax reform, in a way that is acceptable to me, then I will reconsider my party affiliation.
I know that I am only one person, but if more Republicans would turn their backs on the party that has left them, and let the Republican leadership know about it, maybe they will pay attention.
